For our first release in 2018 we´re going far East, to the metropole of Shanghai.

Scottish techno producer Cameron Wilson has been based in Shanghai since 2005, and as a founder of the internationally-renowned VOID Shanghai collective, he is often cited as the most influential underground techno DJ in the Chinese scene. A producer for many years before becoming a DJ, Prismatic Force is one of several monikers he's known for. Under this nom-de-plume, the sounds of dubby, rhythmic, moody and psychological techno are explored and presented in a sometimes disturbing manner, for after dark consumption.

All tracks are created in a small studio on the south side of Shanghai packed with a selection of vintage and modern hardware.

Hardware used: Dave Smith Tempest & OB6, Rolands JD-800, TR-909, SH-101, TR-707 & XV5080, Korg Polysix, Novation Bassstation rack, Casio HT-700.
